A page title in Joomla is determined by the title of the article or the name of the menu item. This title is adopted by search engines as the title of the search result. In this article, I will show you how to adjust the page title.

Customise page title in the menu item

In this example, we are using the menu item "Home". In Google, this will be visible as:

Of course, we don't want it to show up in Google as "Home", we want a relevant title.

Via Menus, find and open the menu item:

The Menu title remains "Home", so in the menu you will see the menu item "Home".

Go to the "Page View" tab and enter a relevant Title under Browser Page Title.
