Joomla Components

A component is a kind of extension for your Joomla website. You can build in extra functions with a component. You can think of a form, portfolio or webshop, but the standard article management is also a component.

Most components provide functionality for the frontend of your website (i.e. for your visitors), but they are also displayed in the administration environment where the administrator can modify or add components.

Linking a component to a menu

A component has its own menu item types. When you create a menu item in Joomla, you can choose between different menu item types. In most cases, these menu item types are related to components.

In addition, there are various options per Menu Item Type, such as selecting a specific category or item.

Are you just missing that one specific feature in the standard components?

I am happy to look with you to see if we can adapt an existing component or if customisation is the solution.
