    Joomla is a powerful Open Source CMS suitable for both small and large websites. Open Source means that Joomla is available for free and you have access to the source files. You are free to modify them. A CMS (content management system) is the system on which your website is built, where you can easily maintain your website. Adding and modifying pages, articles, etc. are actions you can easily perform yourself. Of course I am happy to help you with your questions or can take all the work off your hands in the form of a Joomla SLA.

    From design to template

    Have you had a website designed or are you a graphic designer and want to have the design converted into a working Joomla template? I build your template from your design in my own developed template or Yootheme PRO template.

    Your design can be taken over 1 on 1 and meets today's requirements such as HTML5 and CSS3. If you use extensions I can work with template-overrides, so the extension fits your template. Of course it is possible to make your website responsive.

    For best results, designs can be delivered in a layered PSD (Photoshop) or AI (Illustrator) file. Templates are installed directly on your existing website. I always deliver the templates white-labeled (i.e. without my name), so you can use them for your clients as well.

    About HikaShop

    Hikashop has been developed since 2009 by Nicolas Claverie and his team from Lyon, France. From the beginning, the goal has been to build a flexible and easy-to-use online store extension. HikaShop is thus a complete e-commerce solution for Joomla that allows you to easily create, personalize and manage your online store.

    Free webshop

    Even the free version has many features built in and is a perfect entry-level way to give this extension a try. This version has no limits or advertising and you can also disable the footer through the settings. If you need more options later you can always easily upgrade to a paid version.
    If you want to compare the features of the different versions, take a look at the Hikashop Features List. By the way, for my clients I always use the Business edition.

    Steady development

    A new version is released regularly with bug fixes, improvements and new features. View the Hikashop changelog with the latest changes here. Updating is easy via the Joomla updater. My experience is that Hikashop is a lot more stable than e.g. Virtuemart.

    Also, Hikashop is relatively light and fast if you compare it with Magento, which can be seen as the Hummer among the webshops. Nice to have, but certainly not suitable for everyone (or every server).

    Uitstekende Support

    When you have a problem, support is an important issue. This is lacking at Virtuemart, but is excellent at Hikashop. (Support is only for paid editions)
    If you have found a bug, or have worked yourself into trouble, they are always ready to help you and the solution is often ready within a day. This saves a lot of stress and hours of searching on forums where often only the questions are listed, without a solution.

    Payment Methods

    In Hikashop, you can add features through the use of plugins. This allows developers to incorporate specific customer requirements into the webshop. This is also the case with payment plugins. Hikashop comes standard with over 70 payment plugins such as: bank transfer, Credit cards, PayPal, Authorize.net, MoneyBookers, etc. With Mollie's iDEAL connection you can use iDEAL, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Klarna, EPS, and many others.

    This allows you to connect your online store to iDEAL via your own bank or an iDEAL payment provider such as: Mollie (only €0.29 per transaction!). The advantage of these providers is that you pay no connection fee or fixed monthly costs and they are therefore also suitable for small and medium-sized webshops.

    Switching to HikaShop

    If you already have an online store but want to switch to Hikashop there are several import functions available.
    You can import complete webshops (products and settings) from Virtuemart, Redshop, Mijoshop or Opencart.
    Furthermore, you can also import products from a folder, text field or CSV file. The latter also makes it possible to update products regularly from another location.
