Module positions

A module position is a place in a template where you can assign one or more modules. The module is then executed at this position.

While developing a Joomla website, it is useful to know where to load which modules.

To do this, go to"Extensions > Templates" in the administrator area.

Then click the "options" button at the top right of your screen.

Set Example module positions to"enabled".

After this, go to the frontend of your website and add " ?tp=1 " to your URL

http://www.jouwwebsite.nl/index.php?tp=1

(tp stands for Template Positions)

After this, you will get information about the module position and module style used within your website.

When you have the website live, it is advisable to deactivate the option Example module positions afterwards.
