Module Positions
A module position is a place in a template where you can assign one or more modules. The module is then executed at this position.
Show module positions in a Joomla template
During the development of a Joomla website it is useful to know where you can load which modules.
For this you go in the administrator area to"Extensions > Templates".
Then click on the "options" button at the top right of your screen.
Set Example module positions to"enabled"
After this, go to the frontend of your website and add " ?tp=1 " to your URL
http://www.jouwwebsite.nl/index.php?tp=1
(tp stands for Template Positions)
After this you will get information about the module position and module style used within your website.
Once you have your website live it is recommended that you disable the Preview module positions option afterwards.
