Joomla Error Messages

This site is down for maintenance

You get this notification when the site is displayed offline due to maintenance.

Disable maintenance mode via configuration.php

You can put it back online by setting $offline from "1" to "0" in configuration.php.

Note: Sometimes saving this file does not work because the file has write permissions (CHMOD) set to 'read-only' (444) instead of writable (644).

Disable Maintenance mode via General settings

If you still have access to the administrator area, go to the "System > General settings".

There you set the Website Offline option to "No"
